Else Sophie Nathan, residing in Tel Aviv, Israel, sought compensation for harm to her profession after being forced into retirement from her position as a municipal civil servant ("Fürsorger") in Berlin on November 30, 1933, due to racial persecution under § 3 of the Law for the Restoration of the Professional Civil Service.
